Hello and welcome to the 2010 Sofia Hotels Project.
In a nutshell - we (three travel writers, a food writer and a travel photographer) will be on location in Sofia this summer for three months. We will be investigating all of the different places to stay and the local sights, attractions and entertainment for a new edition of a popular travel guide (The first time we have published a dedicated Sofia book).
In total we are scheduled to stay in 108 hotels, apartments, hostels and private homes in Sofia (Please send us recommendations to your favourite places) between July and September.
We would really appreciate your help:
- Do you know any great B&Bs in Sofia ?. We are very interested to find more private homes that welcome visitors and provide a really special local welcome to visitors.
- Do you know the main hotels in Sofia well ?. Although we are visiting every hotel, we will only stay 1 night in each establishment. Help us know what to look for; what is really good at each hotel? what is not so good? please help us discover the best and worst bits of each establishment by sending us details of your past experiences.
- What are your best experiences in Sofia ?. When we are not fast asleep in our Sofia hotel beds what should we be doing? Do you have any favourite Sofia cafes, restaurants or bars? Do you know the special places jealously guarded by the locals? Do you have any funny stories about your time in Sofia? Please let us know your stories so we can ensure we organise a really action packed itinerary and ensure that we unlock the best bits that Sofia has to offer.
